Nightwish maps out 2018 Decades World Tour

Is it too early to start planning out your 2018 concert calendar? Nightwish don’t think so. The Finnish symphonic metal band have already plotted a trip to North America next year, and tickets go on sale Monday, May 12. The band’s extensive dates will take them across the country, to such cities as Denver and Norfolk. New Yorkers can catch the band at Play Station Theater, while Californians will find them coming through Anaheim’s City National Grove of Anaheim.

The Decades tour will see Nightwish on the road for a total of nine months, with 34 of the dates being in North America starting next March. For this tour, the band plans to feature a special setlist of rarely heard tracks from earlier on in their career. Some of the new songs will be redone with exciting new changes, mixing it up for fans who may have seen them before. This setlist will only be performed while the band is on the Decades tour, so fans wanting to see it should be sure to grab their tickets and go down to a show.

On March 9, 2018, the band’s record label Nuclear Blast will be releasing a 2-disc greatest hits album also titled Decades. In addition to regular sales of the album, ticketed fans attending shows on the tour will be receiving a copy of the record to take home, making purchasing a ticket this time around an even added value.
